Parenting With Purpose

Child Care is available for ages 6 weeks to 4th grade at a cost of $15 per child (maximum of $45).

There will be fun and safe activities for Preschool ages and up.

David also guides Daystar as the co-executive director, meets with clients for parent consults,

provides assessments with new families, and supervises the guys’ staff.

Breakout Sessions Available:

Sarah Beth has a Master of Arts in mental health
counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling
Association, and is currently working with children, teens,
and their parents at The Babb Center in Hendersonville.
Sarah Beth has a passion for helping children and teens
traverse life’s difficulties while pointing them to the One who
can see them through—Jesus Christ. Sarah Beth and her
husband have two young children.

 

Renea is the Executive Director of
Behavioral Medicine for Amerigroup Tennessee. Dr. Bentley
earned her Master of Arts in professional counseling and a
Doctor of Education in Counselor Education & Clinical
Supervision. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and
Mental Health Service Provider. She has over 20 years of
mental health experience, including substance use and
trauma-focused care. She is a proud parent of two school
aged children that she adores and loves to spend time with.
She enjoys traveling, reading, and is a classical musician.

 

For the past 3 years, Mike has served on staff at FBC Portland as Pastor to Students & Rec. He has over 15 years of experience in youth and college ministry and specializes in crisis intervention. His passion to preach, teach, and equip others to take the next step in their discipleship journey is evident among the teens (and their families) that he leads. He’s been married for almost 11 years to his wife, Christian, and is a proud girl dad of two, ages 4 and 1.

 

 

Lorraine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of
Tennessee. She earned a BA in psychology from Boston
University and a master’s degree in social work from UT
Knoxville. Lorraine has worked with substance abuse and
mental health challenges for years. Her special areas of
interest include substance abuse and co-occurring disorders,
depression, anxiety, and stress management. Lorraine has
been married to her husband for over ten years. They have
three children. Lorraine enjoys being involved at her church,
yoga, hiking, baking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.

Chris is a content marketing editor at Moody Publishers and a social media, marketing, and communications consultant. He writes regularly in his Substack newsletter, “Terms of Service,” and is the author of two books: Terms of Service:  The Real Cost of Social Media (B&H, 2022), and The Wolf in Their Pocket: 13 Ways the Social Internet Threatens the People You Love.  Chris lives outside Nashville with his wife, Susie, their daughter, Magnolia, and their dog, Rizzo.
